Day 4? Monday

Sorry for no post yesterday -- all the computers were down or busy. Two couples from the tour group walked to Kensington Palace for the tour. One of them was disappointed that she couldn't see Diana's bedroom. We had tea and scones at the Orangerie which is a beautiful tea room on the grounds.

We journeyed to Windson Castle in the afternoon. Loved it -- I could live there. It is truly a marvel in terms of beauty and art. Liked it better than Buckingham Palace. In fact, it hasn't been redone since 1952 when Elizabeth became Queen and it looks shabbly around the edges.

Made made dash to make the London Eye at sunset. Superb. We couldn't ask for better weather. The service here is much different. The tour guide warned us not to expect American service in the restaurant for English service is slow. No kidding but they are all polite. The bus driver said he liked having Americans on board because we are such happy people.

Was supposed to go to Stonehenge today but decided instead of going to see a pile of old rocks I'd explore London some more. Off to Tower of London and other sight. Billy Elliott tonight. London is one of my new favorite cities!
